In 2012, Kiana 'rookz' Eastmond had just closed her first major business transaction with Drake for Rocnation after a whirlwind summer as an artist manager for one of Toronto's most recognized female vocalist. The success she was experiencing lead her to work with Raekwon, Kardinal Offishall, Vivian Scott Chew and many others. It was at that time that she was able to recognize that there was no infrastructure developed in Canada for the successful growth of Urban artists. It was that deficit in a country full of talent that inspired Kiana to open Sandbox Studios.
Sir KR Moore Senior Engineer
As a Trebas Institute graduate with over 11 years of hands-on experience in professional studio environment working with MIDI/audio software and hardware, recording, arranging and song writing, Sir KR Moore is a professional studio engineer with an emphasis on vocal tracking, instrumental, mixing and mastering. He possesses professional knowledge through daily use of numerous production tools such as digital audio workstations, samplers, two-track and multi-track audio editors, plug-ins, and software synths.
Zepfire Junior Engineer
At 12, Nick aka Zepfire would lock himself in his room in order to practice his passion for
production. This practice has led him to become a very versatile producer with production genres varying from Electronic Dance, Hip Hop, RnB to even Reggaeton to name a few.Five years later at just 17 years old his hard work has paid off. Nick’s career was officially jump started in 2012 when he dropped his first digital album on Itunes called “Digital Recon” with the single “Monster Dubstep”. The project went international independently with no promotion aside from social media and went on to make $10,000 in sales on it’s own.
